Interesting Nature Communications paper showing that acoustic indices and metrics derived from convolutional neural networks, applied to @OpenAcoustics AudioMoth data, correlate well with measures of forest restoration. https://t.co/ndq89xTX8R

The calm chirp of the tree crickets definitely makes the sound of peaceful summer nights, but this can hide a vital race for acoustic space among sibling species. Who will win? Read more about this new paper with @leonardoancillo: https://t.co/ekl88GvdiR

Our study on #butterfly #evolution, #hostplants & #ranges is now formally out! We built a phylogeny of 2000 sp and found butterflies originated in N. America 100M years ago, likely fed on legumes. ~100 scientists from 28 countries contributed. Thanks all!
