Unsolicited parenting tip: if you can, take the day off the first day your 1st kid goes to kindergarten. I did not and today was harder than I anticipated. Even after 3 years of preschool, this was a huge level up in letting go. World is also a dystopian hell - doesn't help.

After 6 years focusing on Cloud tech and developers, I am now switching gears into a new eng role in YouTube Music! Excited to be out of my comfort zone, in consumer tech, being the "new kid" in the room again, and learning a whole bunch of new things.

We should be taking advantage of technology to help notify people about exposures & get tested. Vaccines are coming but they won't flatten the curve for several months, so we still need to work on preventing & identifying cases. I turned my CA Notify on. @calonghurst @atulbutte
As we work together to fight the rise in cases in California, exposure notifications will help slow the spread of COVID-19 and put our neighbors’ health first. Thank you @GavinNewsom & @Google for helping bring CA Notify to Californians while putting privacy at the very center.

My dog when outside my WFH office, screen closed - "I WILL TEAR THIS DOWN I MUST COME INSIDE RIGHT NOW!!!! WOOOOOOOOF!" ... My dog when screen door is open "cool cool I'm just gonna play outside and completely ignore you now. might rest over here in shade."
