Listening moves us closer, it helps us become more whole, more healthy, more holy. Not listening creates fragmentation, and fragmentation is the root of all suffering--Margaret Wheatley, Turning to One Another

Whenever I hear an educator say, “It’s not my job to build relationships with my students,” my heart breaks for those kids and their families.

While many of us embrace fall for its cooler weather & vibrant colors, it can also be a difficult time for teachers as mental & physical fatigue begin to show their ugly heads. This piece gives good advice on how to combat both. https://t.co/vyBd9OMLHb via @brightmorningtm @ASCD

A great tip that applies to having students collaborate in the classroom. If you want your students to work together 1)give them something that requires multiple brains to complete the task 2) provide individual think time 3) give a structure for holding thinking.

When groups meet to brainstorm, good ideas are lost. People bite their tongues due to conformity pressure, noise, and ego threat. A better approach is brainwriting: generate ideas separately, then meet to assess and refine. Group wisdom begins with individual creativity.

It takes a monster to kill children. But to watch monsters kill children again and again and do nothing isn’t just insanity—it’s inhumanity.

Why do so many of 🌍’s landforms look so similar?!? These three rivers (in order Poland, Thailand, Norway) are in different regions but have many of the same features. Have you seen these characteristics in rivers or streams near you?!? #ngss #ngsschat

@LopezforCO Lopez said he'll fight inflation as Governor by suspending Colorado's sales tax. Lopez said that lost revenue wouldn't need to be replaced because 30% of the budget is "waste, fraud and abuse." Lopez said cutting education funding would spur teachers to "be creative." #copolitics
