"The Third Reich of Dreams" illustrates, profoundly, how people gird themselves for the great moral tests they know are coming, even as they absorb the shocking curtailments of freedom to their daily lives. @TimothyDSnyder @PrincetonUPress .

Carousel is “a treatise on the messiness of forgiveness,” in which “our tears fall as an answer to the ever-evolving question: Can we forgive ourselves, each other, and the artists who came before us, no matter how imperfect we all might be?”

For the 50th anniversary of the movie @soundof music, @LadyGaga performed a medley at the Oscars. When she raised two tattooed arms at the triumphant finish of "Climb Ev'ry Mountain, she cut a path between parody and veneration, showing that the two can coexist in perfect harmony.
