Sunderland boss Le Bris said of #MUFC: “They went direct. Second balls. It’s impossible to stop this idea.” A different “idea” to what Amorim promised on arrival, but a win. Lammens kicked long 33 times - more than double next highest this season ⬇️ https://t.co/zQdzoeMCSs

Amorim: "There is no momentum with our team, with the break or without the break. We know what happens when we win one game. The frustration is not to see the same team at home and away. If we cannot play well, they will not play well - that's the way a big team plays." #MUFC

Amorim on Lammens: "He looks confident first game, important thing is teammates helped. When Senne arrived here, first of all Altay was playing, you can feel he needs to adapt, new training, the pressure you guys put on goalkeeper is massive. He needed preparation." #MUFC

A win to ease anxiety into international break. Competent, rather than sparkling display, but result Ruben Amorim needed. #MUFC sat back second half + needed a fine Lammens save to Talbi to keep things comfortable. Still, first clean sheet of season, three wins in a row at OT.

Two goals in two games for Sesko. From a combined distance of about 10 yards. Strikers' goal. Dalot's long throw flicked on by Mukiele + Sesko in the right place to slot home. Set piece came from Yoro bursting for an underlapping run by Amad. #MUFC

Spectacular save by Roefs. Caressed shot by Fernandes from edge of the box, heading for top corner until Sunderland goalkeeper claws it onto the post. Amad's rebound header unlucky to slide out of reach for Mount to tap in. #MUFC
