In the recordings published by Channel 12, Israel’s former military intel chief heard saying that "50 Palestinians should die" for every Israeli victim of Oct 7. "There's no choice, they need a Nakba every now and then to feel the consequences," he says.

The New York Times clarifies that in addition to being starved by Israel, 18-month old Mohammed al-Mutawaq suffers from pre-existing health conditions that he is unable to receive treatment for because Israel has destroyed Gaza’s medical sector and barred civilians from escaping.
