Sadly, that "happy ending" is only available due to the huge amount of privilege my family enjoys. For so many others the worst case scenario means family separation and incredible hardship.

Woke up anxious about the election and went through worst case scenarios. For my family that would be my wife Natalia getting denaturalized and deported. I suppose not all bad, as the kids and I would follow and I would try to get a job in Austria or elsewhere in Europe.

I was working at an inner-city school & post-election 2016 was the eeriest day I’ve ever known. It was as if every student’s grandmother had died. And when a 7th grader whispered “I’m scared he’ll deport my uncle,” I realized my students were carrying burdens I couldn’t imagine.

Hoping for another four seasons total landscaping moment following the election.

The congressman from Syracuse, NY is right there alongside Johnson. That act is bringing tens of thousands of jobs with the new micron plant to his district. Sad.
