-dissociate from my physical body to endure it. i felt that a scribble was a good way to symbolize that experience of my brain feeling jumbled and incoherent. the eyes being cast away is also intended to convey feeling distant and dissociated from myself and my surroundings.

i wanted to continue playing with an idea that i'd done in a previous painting where i physically stitch onto the canvas. piercing the canvas repeatedly represents the violence that CRPS inflicts upon me. CRPS often feels like stabbing pins and needles, so i left the needle in-
