@Mill_Moron My favourite @cppinvestments fact is that they pay back previous investors with the proceeds of current investors contributions and when that was no longer enough, the government raised the amount new investors were required to contribute, promising even better returns in the

@laforet @cppinvestments CPP Investments was created when the program was overhauled to address that issue - unstable contribution rates with the old system. I did a lot of research on this topic and I'm now more confident that the CPP program is sustainable - but not because of investment managers lol.

@Mill_Moron @cppinvestments As long as there are enough working age Canadians to fund retirement age Canadians I agree. I do not believe CPP has a balance sheet that supports its liabilities absent of new contributions.

@laforet @Mill_Moron @cppinvestments 100%. By the mid 1990’s with my LTD company I had to pay 10% CPP, and 10% WCB Premiums, for a total of 20% in payroll taxes. I said the heck with that, & just take dividends, worked out great for me.
