LF Kyle Stowers extended his MLB lead in homers tonight with 12, since June 22. Since July 1, Stowers has now hit eight home runs, tied for the second most in July in club history, only trailing OF Giancarlo Stanton, who hit 12 in 2017.

Jesús Sánchez is only playing vs. a lefty starter because Derek Hill jammed his finger yesterday hitting off the Trajekt machine. It was still fairly swollen, though he is available off the bench. Sánchez made this nice play in right field. #Marlins
