I couldn't swing opening night, but I will be at the Pistons Bulls game on Jan 7! Let me know if you'll be there

An offense designed around having the best offensive line in the league will struggle when the offensive line is in fact not the best in the league. Shouldn't be surprised. Maybe give it a few weeks

That was a dumb return. You have to give offense at least one shot

Why would Detroit take a time out on 3rd and short with how bad they've been moving the ball

This is one reason why I leaned into NBA salary cap stuff and why I enjoy it more than NFL
Every year I think I gain a deeper understanding of the NFL CBA and roster rules. Then, without fail, something new happens, some footnote is revealed, and I feel like there's a wealth of information I have no idea about, and the NFL makes it nearly impossible to find.

Here's what y'all are missing: even if Robinson isn't traded for, Beasley was not coming back to the same role with the same volume. Ivey and Ron were going to eat into his volume, even if minutes stayed the same. Even less to go around now. He may prefer a bigger role elsewhere

@KevinNGregory These teams all have enough of their NTMLE and space under the 1st apron to sign Beas for more than Detroit: Hornets Bulls Warriors Wizards Pacers* Spurs 76ers* Jazz Thunder* Trail Blazers* Kings* Heat* *would put teams over tax

The max Beasley can sign with Detroit is 4 years, $30,960,000. He could sign 1 year $7.2M giving him early bird rights bumping his 4 year earning potential to $48,024,000 Trajan track record suggests at most a 1 or year deal in the range of $7.2M/yr

January 10 is likely the day this contract becomes fully guaranteed, meaning Detroit would have to waive Green by January 7 if they choose to
Update: The Detroit Pistons signed Javonte Green to a one-year, partially guaranteed deal, sources told @hoopshype. Green receives $925,000 guaranteed from the Pistons. He has averaged 5.3 points on 51% shooting in six NBA seasons with the Bulls, Celtics, Pelicans, and Cavaliers.

Hopefully I can fly in for opening night against the Celtics! If anyone plans to have group tickets, let me know if I can jump in on that

For context I have them projected at $3M over the cap, not including the cap hold for their 2026 FRP, and that's assuming they let Tobias and Duncan Robinson walk and keep everyone else
