Here’s a brilliant way to talk about our experiences of last year- and hold space for others, too.
‘What provided you with consistent comfort this year?’ Reconnect with Together Again- our new game to open up a conversation about wellbeing & mental health as we ease out of lockdown. From @sanctuarymh Free, on our new app https://t.co/p5dnRxfM1w

Enjoyed sharing the work of @SanctuaryMH & shifting our mental health discussion from background noise in the pandemic to a deeper understanding of the need for connection & recovery in church. Thank you @Edthornton

This is a great way of bringing conversations with just a few friends or a home group setting. Well worth a download!

For the first time since we moved 6 weeks ago, last night we were woken by a group drunkenly and noisily walking down the road. What could have changed? #PubsReopening #covid

"The Report seems to be for teaching a grand pretence: that the British Empire was a way of encouraging people of colour around the world to feel included in Britishness." A worthwhile read.
I've now digested the #RacismReport and come up with some more detailed reflections from the perspective of someone who has researched and taught about the British Empire for over thirty years. If you're interested, they are here:

No ones able to truly see into someones life. We only see bits & those are often muddied by our own opinions. To believe the best is a choice not because we understand but because love always chooses to believe one is doing the best they can with what they’ve been dealt. #1Cor

Any politician of any party who claims that the answer to tackling violence against women is simply a matter of “tougher sentences” is not being honest with the public. Let me tell you about a case I’m currently prosecuting. [THREAD]

Anything recently, I tried to join a local community sharing group and that is the only thing I have done. It is cruel in a pandemic anyway to isolate people without reason, but my health being what it is I can't even go for socially distanced walks anymore. I'm anxious.

I'm so angry. My @facebookapp account has been disabled with no explanation as to why, no way to appeal and as someone who even without covid would be housebound with illness it's just cut me off from the majority of my community. Can't get in Instagram either. I haven't posted

Facebook has kicked me off Facebook and Instagram for being too young to be on it. You have to be 13. I have had my Facebook account for 16 years. This makes no sense and I'm grumpy about it!

They seem to think I'm too young to have an account. No idea why. Grr.

I have just been blocked from my Facebook and Instagram accounts. Can't work out why. Very very confused. And really quite cross.

So, it's not all men. We know that. No woman thinks all men are violent. The problem is that we don't know which man will be, and the fear isnt hysteria. It's based on experience that some men will hurt, intimidate and attack us. The dangerous men don't wear signs. #SarahEverard

When leaders respond to revelations that another prominent leader was a sexual abuser by saying, "That could easily be me, we all sin," their followers would do well to look at the victims and think, "That could easily be me," and then get the heck out of there.

When I read about #LongCovid I find it really hard when people avoid links with #MECFS. There is clear resonance of the two experiences, but it seems that there is reluctance to associate with the experience of chronic fatigue/ME sufferers because of the stigma.

Such a perfect description of a wonderful friend.
I didn’t feel like saying anything yesterday. I didn’t know what to. And everyone was saying so many lovely things and sharing so many photos of the amazing @drbexl so I read them.

This is such a wonderful tribute to such a wonderful woman. #bemoreBex is something we could all afford to be.
I wrote a tribute to my dear friend @drbexl. I’m so grateful for all she brought into the world ❤️ https://t.co/OBdzLXCnVd
