Last week I spoke @ReactAlicante about genealogy + creative coding! Built a data โ†’ art pipeline using CLI, React, XState & P5.js that transforms family history (GEDCOM) into personalized art. Live demo'd importing my family tree and generating visual art. Video coming soon! ๐ŸŽจ

Introducing <FloatingLines /> After building this, I realize itโ€™s a component that can please everyone. Why? You can make it look super minimal and clean, or you can go absolutely wild with the config! Itโ€™s live right now, go play with it!

Excited to attend @upscaleconf today and tomorrow, here in Malaga! Last year was a feast for the eyes with all of the latest advancements in AI for images, video, and art. Looking forward to see how things have developed in the past year!

In 2025, the AI SDK went from 400k to 3.5 MILLION weekly downloads. And I've built a self-paced, interactive, 57-lesson course to help you master it. And for a few days, it's $99. 2025 is the year of TypeScript + AI. Let's go.

Did you know you can use XState as a pure function to determine the next state (+ actions)? Which means you can use it anywhere, even other state management libraries (if you want) const [state, actions] = transition(machine, prevState, event)

A wise man once said, when interviewed after his talk at React Conf 2025, โ€œThe coolest React api is useReducer. Itโ€™s like setting up your own little state machines!โ€

Congratulations and thank you @DavidKPiano! This way of thinking about software remains relevant but XState also provides clear implementation instructions for AI coding assistants when adding feature upon feature in a sane, predictable way. Itโ€™s quite powerful!

Hard to believe I started working on XState 10 years ago ๐Ÿคฏ Learning about state machines has completely changed the way I think about software - I hope it's done the same for you

๐Ÿคฏ I LOVE talks that take crazy ideas and take them to their INSANE conclusions. @evyataral did just that at @ReactAlicante: implementing emoji search (filter) in pure CSS, including a match counter. No JS! Also, entirely live coded.
