Democracy + Capitalism have proven to be most potent ways to keep running a balanced system, provided the rich don't topple democratic institutions. Risks to this structure include rise of religious and extreme ideologies (such as communism?)! (6/6).

. sole political power. Democracy is the only tool hitherto discovered which can ensure such transition because 1 vote of poor trumps over $$ of the rich. If we protect democratic systems and institutions, in conjunction with capitalism, that up until now has proven most . (5/6).

But, if we learn anything from bloody revolutions in history, it is also that when inequalities rise beyond what can be considered fair - read: Poor have no path to upwards mobility, wealth is only being transferred via inheritance, aristocrats disconnected from reality . (2/n).

Weighing on this debate; the collapse of communism teaches us that if there are no outsized winners (like in Capitalism), it removes any motivation for people to be mediocre winners as well - everyone then starts aiming not to improve but to just maintain status (quo) . (1/n).

If we punish people for creating outsized value, fewer will try, and society loses. We can look to China, India, and Vietnam. When I was born, poverty rates were 88%, 60%, and 80%. Each country embraced market reforms and let their versions of capitalism take root. Inequality.

The spoon slipped from my fingers as the news flashed on the screen. “An attempted abduction near Delhi’s Jesus and Mary College was thwarted late last night,” the NDTV anchor announced. “The accused, Professor Rajat Malhotra, a history lecturer at Delhi University, was shot.

This assumes that lawyers (and other professionals) don't rely on AI and their responses are completely unbiased by AI or any other bias (such as their personal leanings).

LAWYERS AS VERIFIERS. Use lawyers as AI verifiers. Here’s how. (1) First, tell the AI that it’s the named partner of the most capable law firm in your city, with expertise not just in corporate law, but tech startups, compliance, accounting, and the like. (2) Then, draft a memo.

@karpathy .@karpathy has this beautiful talk on Software 2.0 where he explains how prompts are programs to LLMs which can be equivalent of computers. Think of multiple such 'prompts' working with each other and that's the future of enterprise computing.

AI was also born out of general purpose computers being strung together in Cloud data centres, so the future specialised use cases will need multiple general purpose AI tools being strung together for special purpose delivery in a network model. On that, @karpathy has a . (2/3).

The more you build (umm. try to build?) AI based products focussed towards specific tasks, the more you come across the limitations of LLMs, which are meant for general purpose than specific. Ofc, this is the first step of evolution, AI also came out of the general pur. (1/n).

I’m not big on identities, but I am extremely proud to be American. This is true every day, but especially today—I firmly believe this is the greatest country ever on Earth. The American miracle stands alone in world history. I believe in techno-capitalism. We should encourage.
