Finally that car arrived at 19:26. So it took 16 minutes to get a car, 11 minutes at the pickup spot. If you had requested when I actually put in the request I would have waited 3 minutes at the pickup. I don't understand how this is smart. Please explain.

@AskLyft here is another example of how smart pickup failed. I requested a car at 19:10. Nothing happened until I got to the pickup spot five minutes later. Then a driver was requested which was 8 minutes away.

To recap, I requested a smart pickup at 17:54 and got picked up 15 minutes later when estimated pickup times were 6 minutes. How is that smart or helpful?.

And then finally I got this message at 17:59 telling me my new driver was 9 minutes away. To your credit, the driver did arrive at 18:08.

A minute later at 17:58 I got this message telling me I was assigned a new driver?

Three minutes later at 17:57 I get a message that my driver is finally assigned and is 8 minutes away. Very confusing.

I'm about 2 minutes away from the pickup at this point and then I get this message that says my driver will be assigned in 6 minutes, also at 17:54.

I requested a car at ORD at 17:54 and got a message that said, "Driver will get to the pickup shortly after you." Great.
