Honestly hilarious that The New School is planning faculty pay cuts in excess of 5% (inflation pay cut plus benefits cuts) and then accidentally announcing a bunch of new VP roles hidden in other job ads.
Citing financial exigencies, TNS prez Joel Towers is reportedly considering cuts in pension & healthcare benefits, increased teaching loads, and layoffs of part-time faculty & staff. The FOUR new Executive VPs heβs hiring at $200k+ are clearly not going to pay for themselves.
