Couldn’t agree more with @kmess44 here. This work is cool in like four different ways. Learning about EV-D68, yes, but also so many more viruses. Strengthening prediction abilities for viruses. And feeding into mAb and vaccine prep. I love it all ❤️

Leading this PREMISE project w @Peds_Hai_D & @VogtVirusLab has been one of the highlights of my career. So many amazing ppl worked together to generate this novel data from a unique immunoepidemiologic approach to infectious disease surveillance. Excited to share our 1st paper!👇

You can track the spread of 16 viruses all at once, @kmess44 and colleagues found, including EV-D68, RSV, metapneumovirus, flu, Covid, rhinovirus. They started out looking for the cause of acute flaccid myelitis - remember that one?
