I can’t adequately articulate what it would have meant for my school’s football coach to stand up for me and others like this. This kind of leadership changes lives.
At a time when acceptance was hard to find for LGBTQ+ students, @Tim_Walz knew the signal it would send for a football coach to get involved in the Gay Straight Alliance. So he signed on to be the group’s faculty advisor.

Virginia, you need to get out and vote.
Wow. On the eve of Election Day in Virginia, Glenn Youngkin just promised he will “deliver” an abortion ban if Republicans take full control: “I just wanted to make sure people understand what we would deliver. All [Republicans] have agreed” to “progress” an abortion ban

On my way to #Israel to report on the war. I got on the @airfrance flight & the entire crew was singing in Hebrew. Caught this tearful moment as people boarded. The flight attendant Jean Paul hugged people including me. I nearly burst into tears too. #Love still wins.

Powerful moment: Biden says he took each of his kids and grandchildren individually to Dachau concentration camp when they turned 14. ”I wanted them to see that you could not not know what was going on walking through those gates,” he said, slamming the lectern.

Today was the day they found him, 25 years ago. People say "Never forget." That means they have the option to forget. Forgetting is a luxury. Some of us don't get to forget, because it could have been us. It could still be us.

Today marks the 25th anniversary of October 6th, 1998, when Matthew Shepard was beaten & tortured near Laramie, Wyoming. Tied to a fence post & left for dead. The only part of his face not covered in blood, was where the tears had run down his cheeks. He died 6 days later.

This is a beautiful letter from Fiona Apple explaining to her fans why she must postpone a concert date. I am impressed at the way she was instantly able to make the decision to choose love over her career. Indeed, the world needs more of this. Enjoy the story... “It's 6pm

A study that analyzed the DNA of 27 enslaved people buried in a Maryland cemetery in the 18th and 19th centuries found that they have at least 42,000 living Black American relatives today. “There’s a beauty in connecting the past to the present.” https://t.co/cBGXS3soKA
