one of those east coast media bias stories. if new jersey shut down 95 after the military wanted to fire artillery over the highway despite safety concerns from the governor and then some of it accidentally blew up, i think it'd be a bigger story.
An artillery shell fired during 250th anniversary celebration of the Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton on Saturday detonated prematurely over Interstate 5, damaging a California Highway Patrol vehicle on JD Vance's security detail

It is also why so many women read Emily Oster’s Expecting Better and learn about the overarching paternalism of these studies. It really doesn’t help curb the unending anxiety you feel while creating another life, but it does help measure risk.

As someone who was recently pregnant, I can tell you pregnancy is a 24/7 martyr-fest. Every day people log onto Reddit terrified because they had 1 cup of coffee (completely fine!) or bagged salad (also fine!)
I haven't been able to stop thinking about a reddit thread where a woman hadn't realized she was pregnant yet and had a few drinks one night She went in to her first appointment fully ready to abort the baby because she was sure the baby had fetal alcohol syndrome

Fascinated by this being a Yahoo link to Vox opinion
After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.

Her colleagues made those remarks after the 2020 presidential election, when Pirro used her platform to amplify baseless claims of election fraud. She is now the U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C.

In the last 20 or so minutes I’ve seen LAPD officers shove women to the ground without provocation, rip a sign out of a man’s hand and then swing a baton into his leg and raise a less-lethal launcher to aim directly at a protester’s head (which I’m 99% is a policy violation)

My wife, Emily Glazer, just won the Pulitzer Prize. I’ve known this was going to happen since the day I met her. She is the best reporter in America and she’s also the best person I’ve ever met and an elite mom–here’s our son Teddy celebrating in the WSJ newsroom right now.
