This week was our Y7 āDNA Dayā. A day where we focus on embedding cross curricular skills while doing something fun and extra to the spec. We looked at frog life cycles in Biology and I summoned all my little person mummy skills to create a āpondā as a brain break š„°

Today, after a long week, I treated myself to a sneaky Chinese for my lunch. Inhaled it in my 30 minute break while dealing with 100 other things. Teaching y9 physics boys last.. thought Iād be sick.. instead let out a horrendous loud burp. Never so quickly established silence.

Brill end to a stress cry kinda week when one of my 11.6 boys retook a mock he got 1/60 in, nailed his target grade, I marked it in front of him, called home and heād already bounced through the door and told mum. She said heās not been proud of his school work for years. š„² 1/2

There is tired, then thereās morning meeting, full day of teaching, break duty, y11 catch up session, whole staff briefing then y11 parents evening and y12 open evening tiredā¦.. havenāt seen my own little people enough today and it makes me sad, even though today was positive.
