I was bullied in school and didn’t know how to respond back so I created a website that talked shit about the bullies and teachers who endorsed it. Then parents of those kids and the school board got involved and I had to take it down and to move schools.

Fascinating: I've just re-implemented the solution from the The Case for Learned Index Structures paper with Gemini's help and very little domain knowledge, and I can consistently see it beat LMDB by ~2.5x.

Whoa, Google really pushed it and you can just grab GEMINI_API_KEY and you no longer need to:.1) create GCP project.2) create billing account.3) create service account.4) allow service account to use Vertex. just to call the Gemini thing.

Trying Nix on a personal Mac for the first time outside of work environment where it's automatically configured. After few hours and 12Gb of artifacts in /nix, I still didn't get shell.nix with python3+curl+jq runnung. Skill issue?.
