Social media has demonstrated time & time again that users are incapable of nuanced, complex talk about literally anything. Collective catharsis over harm done in the real world (not by individuals on social media) ≠ intellectual thought in many cases. That’s okay.

Olivia Wilde’s THE INVITE made me laugh my pants off, and then when I was least expecting, it made me really sad. This is a great, stylish, sophisticated film. I have been up and down with Wilde, but even on lesser films, you can see she is a real filmmaker. Good stuff. #Sundance
