#Aryn is out of stealth. We raised a $7.5M seed from #Factory, #8VC, and others. We released a new #conversational #search stack for unstructured enterprise data. It’s powered by #LLMs, #OpenSearch, and #Sycamore, and all 100% Apache-v2. https://t.co/N1l97djZQ5 #GenAI #dataprep.

New blog of how @JaegerTracing and @OpenSearchProj can be paired together. Choice is the key. Good example of collaboration across @AWSOpen and @CloudNativeFdn communities. #bestofbothworlds

Asking our users to design solutions - "what features would you like us to build?" - is an awful idea. Asking their managers - "what features should we build for your teams?" - is an even worse idea.

Linear roadmaps are misleading without a crystal ball for seeing the future. A roadmap that recognizes the existence of risk as time goes on is more honest. But an effective PM needs to anticipate possible branches, too - and create clear criteria for following each path.

I often find that this is a common problem amongst designers. We’ve been taught about the power of storytelling, so when presenting to executives we go into detail about all the little steps we made to get to the final outcome, often missing the essence of the problem we solved.

1) Essence first. Not story. Not analogy Most people get seduced by great analogies & exciting stories. Clear thinkers don’t *form* their thinking via analogies. They identify the essence of the issue, in their specific context. Then, they use analogies as one of their inputs.

This is one of the best synthesis of the challenges of communicating design value and process. When done right, the output appears simple and obvious. There is a lot of work that goes into that.

Design and product management are both process-heavy and output-light disciplines. Practitioners crunch through a ton of learning, synthesis, and decisions to produce a tidy artifact. Non-practitioners only see the artifact, so they mistake the artifact for the work.

B2B and B2C Product Management are very different. I worked for 5 years as a Product Manager in B2B and for 9 months (so far) in Consumer. While this will likely not be an exhaustive list, here are the 8 biggest differences I've seen. 🧵👇
