@Justin_Bons Exactly. Any layer 2 fundamentally undermines layer 1. If layer 2 is better/cheaper than layer 1, why would anyone use layer 1? If no one uses layer 1, miners don’t get paid. If miners don’t get paid, you don’t have a network.

@Bit_Faced Spot on! The economics are particularly damming, assuming two chains where everything else is the same; The chain that scales its L1 can keep all of the fees, while the chain that scales through L2s only gets a fraction of the fees Clearly, L1 scaling is economically superior!
