"Why run for Congress if not to do something good for the country? If Republicans don’t find an agenda to stand for in the next 12 months, they will soon find themselves in a position to pass nothing at all." https://t.co/Qxzt80rSRq

Republicans don’t seem to have any priorities beyond populist stunts.

I mean seriously, does anyone imagine a Border Control agent could go on TV and saying, "I am only speaking on my behalf, but I think Congress is mistreating us and is being cruel to migrants" and not facing consequences?

But not if you are a civil servant at an agency charged with carrying out the law.

She criticized the federal government for not taking care of all Americans and for helping "billionaires." Sure, you can say that if you work at a private sector advocacy group---or if you are a political appointee.

So she works as a civil servant in an exec agency, went on MSNBC w/o departmental consent, said political things, and she expected higher-ups at the agency to not mind? I'm sorry, that's not how it works in the federal government. Ever. https://t.co/Ky3MeIbJKa

Agreed. Gen Z needs to realize what people accepted as a normal first home in the 50s. In Newton, Iowa, it was about 1,000-1,500 sq ft, small living room, two small bedrooms, small bathroom, kitchen with a small dining table, no basement, no attic. Yes, you could afford to buy it
No working class man in the 1950s bought this house. This is pure, unadulterated, historically illiterate doom slop. It's designed to get clicks, make people feel emboldened, mad, and depressed at the same time. Just total garbage and stupidity.

Goodness. Usually appropriations acts forbid executive agencies from using taxpayer dollars to produce public communications that are partisan. Are we not doing that any more?
Around 47,000 frontline @TSA officers continued to do an excellent job working throughout the shutdown despite the Democrats holding up their paychecks. Today, @Sec_Noem awarded $10,000 bonuses to the dedicated men and women of TSA who showed up every day to serve and protect
