Very happy to see this collaboration work out. My lab contributed a bit to help connect the new findings from mouse model to patients

Happy to share a new publication by our talented @EinsteinPhD MD/PhD student @kevinolearyy . We explored if meta cells representing distinct cell states can be used as pseudo replicates when you ONLY have 1-2 replicated samples from scRNA-seq. @Nature_NPJ

WE NEED TO STOP SEEING OURSELVES AS HAVING JUST ONE COMPLETE REFERENCE GENOME BUT INSTEAD HAVING A COLLECTION OF GENOMES WHERE EVERYONE’S DIFFERENCES ARE REPRESENTED. THAT’S WHY RESEARCHERS ARE WORKING TO CREATE A PANGENOME. https://t.co/rT9lhOaXcR

Our focus for #MedGeneEd21 today is rare diseases. Currently, healthcare providers only receive a limited education of rare diseases. It can take up to five years to diagnose a patient with a rare disease. Increased education for healthcare providers could improve patient care.

Sometimes you just need to stop and watch the clouds roll by... on Mars. Cloudy days are rare here because the atmosphere is so thin and dry, but I've been keeping my cameras peeled and wanted to share some recent pictures with you. https://t.co/Gtgz9Iu822 (1/4)

This month 21 years ago, Human Genome Project scientists completed a draft sequence of human chromosome 21, the smallest chromosome in the human genome (with less than 300 genes). It may be little, but it is fierce! #TBT
