Could not agree more, see this mistake all the time. Yeah I know what my title is now, but I didn't always have it. .
What a mistake it is to title-chase when choosing a startup 🤦🏻♀️. SVP at a company goes nowhere is SVP of nothing. Early teammate at a company that becomes a $10B+ platform biz, grows into a staff engineer, an SVP of product, an extraordinary leader. Choose company, not title.

Here’s a strong case for not shotgun-marrying a board member with a 2-day process. Brutal, but 1/100th brutal as the founders and other board members enduring this guy for years.
