garment dying is really bad for the environment, CC has done a great job at greenwashing the actual footprint of their entire business. they still use cheap labor like every other main tee brand, take them off this pedestal.

comfort color tees are garment dyed, meaning they’re dyed using heavy chemicals AFTER the garment is sewn to get that “worn in” look. in this process, the fibers are damaged early on in the shirt’s lifespan. the average CC tee will not last a decade — the average gildan tee will.

high support neurodivergent people, especially poc, have been subjected to both social and state violence for decades in the US. doctors separated autistic diagnoses into ASD & ‘asperger’s’ to other people with higher support needs.

autistic people without the famed “savant syndrome”, especially those with higher support needs, are also worthy of love and acceptance and should be at the forefront here — not just the “high achieving” ones with societal impact
