Peer pressure leads me to list my stories that were published in 2025. Peer pressure, I tells ya! My novel THAT OCTOBER was published June 1 and I didn't expect to sub as many short stories in 2025 as I did. (I subbed quite a few that were rejected or unheard from so far.)

Capped off the day of more recent Universal-ish horror films with THE MUMMY’S TOMB on @Svengoolie The old Mummy movies are charming, which sets them apart from many adaptations.
I’ve spent the day immersed in latter-day reboots of Universal monster movies for my @crimereads story: DRACULA UNTOLD, I FRANKENSTEIN and the Tom Cruise THE MUMMY. The best was THE MUMMY, which killed the Dark Universe project.

A buddy gave me a good idea to keep Pistol Jim Press going in between the big calls. Every quarter or so, I pick a handful of writers who've been published in a PJP call, and invite them to write a 2000-word story about whatever they want. Writers would get $25 for their story.
