Please look me up on https://t.co/1MkvCMtfY4, or at Medium, where I will continue to write. I will not be party to anything that benefits Elon Musk, so as long as he owns Twitter I will not be active here. I leave you with a photo of my beast of a cat at the vet just now.

In fact it is a perfect microcosm of our society that Elon Musk is rewarded with wealth and fame for pretending to be something while people like Hank Green (who actually are what Elon fakes) are only โ€œfamousโ€ to a niche group of nerdy fans.

I hope you all enjoy your โ€œTwitterโ€ when it bursts into flames and self-drives itself into the window of a Shoneys.

I left once. Came back when it looked like the deal was dead. When it goes through Iโ€™m gone again, and I hope every one of you leaves with me. I will not labor to benefit Elon Musk.

Still thinking how I told people the Tea Act of 1773 lowered (not raised) taxes on tea and a bunch of people asked โ€œDo you have a source for this?โ€ Uhhhh yeahโ€ฆ The Tea Act of 1773. ๐Ÿง

This is the best example Iโ€™ve ever seen of an American voterโ€™s principles.

One the one hand, Hershel Walker is a pathological liar and serial domestic abuser who impersonates a police officer and repeatedly threatened to murder his family. On the other hand, John Fetterman talks a bit slow. How little do these people think of our intelligence?

Notice all the people who think Herschel Walker isn't fit for the Senate are still fine with Fetterman after seeing that performance.

It's just so frustrating that mainstream journalists pretend to be unbiased--and so many Americans buy into that--while subjecting the two parties to entirely different sets of rules.

Honestly if I ever hear about the "Goldwater Rule" again... when Trump was running all we heard was how journalists "can't diagnose malignant narcissism." But now that it's a Democrat with symptoms of a disorder, those same journalists are all experts in stroke recovery.

Normal Americans' eyes and ears can observe symptoms, but unless they are experts in stroke recovery they are likely to draw the wrong conclusions. Actual experts in stroke recovery say his mind is completely functional, it's just slow to connect with his ears and mouth.

It is astonishing how little so many journalists respect normal Americansโ€™ ability to use their eyes and ears.ย Read @petersavodnik on the Fetterman-Oz debate and the spin machine:

Then again, Republicans and Doctor Oz want to strip seniors of the Social Security and Medicare benefits they earned with decades of hard work. Of course they think a man who speaks a little slowly and occasionally struggles to remember a word should be forced into a home.

That said, the absolute full-court press from GOP lackeys and Right-leaning centrists is infuriating. If I were a voter Iโ€™d be wondering what kind of minor disability they think would disqualify me from being a full American.

Iโ€™m sure the GOP assailing Fettermanโ€™s stroke recovery bothers me more than it should. They tried desperately to convince us Bidenโ€™s stutter was an issue, and failed. Considering how many voters are seniors, they know how stroke recovery works. They wonโ€™t fall for this.

one of my favorite bits of lincoln polemic is when he notes that the slaveholding southโ€™s grievance isnโ€™t that the free north wonโ€™t leave them alone, or wonโ€™t promise non-interference, but wonโ€™t affirm that slavery is a good thingโ€

It fucking rules that these people got everything theyโ€™ve been fighting for for their entire legal careers, and have now pivoted to complaining that people arenโ€™t sufficiently respectful of them as a result https://t.co/UFHSyuKrkG

In moderating a critique group, this is the point where I would step in. I'll usually allow people some space, even if their critique is a bit harsh--people speak in differnt ways. But once you start telling someone their work is bad, it's time to stop.
