why x402 and agentic commerce is the future in january, @zfengster and i were planning what the roadmap for us here @TryNectarAI would look like. we each had plenty of ideas ranging from increasing the degrees of multimodality to incorporating real world actions.

I feel that @jesskah is shouting this into a void and it goes sorely overlooked by literally everyone else https://t.co/x56KkaMDAs
“AI slop” might just spawn the next YouTube, driven by a new AI-native creative class: The Generators. After sharing this thought on the @WithDelphi Library of Minds podcast, I’ve gotten a ton of follow-up questions, so here’s a deeper dive... Consumer AI in 2025 rhymes with

These clearly go beyond the typical thought of use case of tool calling and coding, and while it seems to be less impactful in the short term, long term it will be a massive industry that will quite literally revamp entertainment as we know it

For example, LLMs are already scored on their ability to simulate believable characters which encompasses embodying different personas with unique motivations, speech patterns, and world views in applications such as interactive fiction, gaming, and storytelling

One large question I have is why top tier Chinese ai research labs continue to push ai entertainment research, but it is constantly overlooked by the US One possible theory is that Americans think this is only good for “ai girlfriend/boyfriend” but this view is rather myopic

you’d be surprised at the lead when you break things down further - LLMs - image models - video models - voice models there’s a huge adoption gap

The US is Underpricing AI Companions and Roleplay Late last year, Character AI was relicensed / acquihired back to Google for 2.7B. However, since then, there hasn't been much noise around the growth of roleplay and companionship, despite its meteoric rise. To put things into

a few months ago, i had a discussion with eric on this exact topic. tldr; compete vigorously but wisely part of that is not falling behind in entertainment based AI use cases. china is still pushing the boundaries on its chatting models besides just improving reasoning models.
i hope you enjoy this about China and the race we will be having with them https://t.co/o7lLL4FNww

some days i still think about how @lulumeservey referred to palantir being cluely for killing and i think the biggest success of @im_roy_lee was just the fact that cluely became a known verb whether it succeeds or fails, it'll be snapshotted as a moment in culture

the beauty of @TryNectarAI is that each piece is fully modular, which means that functionality upgrades happen rapidly, including agentic commerce. as overall infra improves, so will your experiences to make your entertainment experience as cutting edge as possible.

Now, the exciting part actually starts, which will be in gleaning relevant moments to surface purchase intents and driving convos towards said intents. esp given some of the work we're doing @megaeth_labs , some of these interactions will be not only realtime but onchain.

given the recent improvements and developments in ambient agents and rule following, you can actually soon have agents that elicit funds in a more meaningful and interesting manner than what we did such as negotiating brand deals on social media autonomously over email.

we believe that this stuff is truly only possible with fully onchain payment rails: there's no way individual MCPs are going to be able to keep up with changing payment processors and APIs, and we're super excited that all of this infrastructure has now been built.

back then, our systems were glued together by a bunch of janky code (we had to have event listeners on a wallet addresses to trigger cascading actions), but now x402 has made a lot of these a lot easier and more composable.

this became a super powerful system that could not only: - detect, understand, and remember relevant portions of conversation - automatically take action given some confirmation the action was desired (yes buy it for me / no i don't want it)

for example, we would use contextual chat memory as triggers to take certain actions: 'i remember your birthday is coming up this week -- i got you something you liked!' or 'i know you got in a fight with your boyfriend this week, what about buying this card for him?'
