#SCCR43 : preservation is falling behind

Museums are faced every day with issues related to copyright. Unfortunately we are not adapted to the issues we come across. Legislation is insufficient when it comes to the challenges we face through new technology and complex climate change @IcomOfficiel at #SCCR43

#SCCR43 some countries do not have exceptions for preservation of cultural heritage today. There's an urgency to fix this problem. This is a good task for WIPO SCCR.

@kcrews at #SCCR42 With the acceleration of events in the last three years, we have learned about disease, about war, about climate change, that have led to a need to address these copyright issues in order to move forward with the preservation and protection of works (2/2).

When Global North delegations claim that Global South countries can introduce modern #copyright exceptions for education & research without a need for an intl treaty, we say: it's easier said than done. Read our statement on @WIPO #SCCR42 session on L&Es:
