Gitcoin grants is a *trial run* for quadratic funding. The long-run goal is to have tx fees from L2/apps (eg. rollup MEV auctions) feeding into the matching pool directly.

This reminds me of software release schedule. releasing less often because its hard means you have problems in other places in the stack.

I read

feedback of donating to Gitcoin rounds and it was evident Sybil’s are more motivated than real humans to meet the threshold.
Tells me the approach is fundamentally broken.
Crypto has an obsession of solving the Sybil problem with proof-of-human solutions, when in reality, sybils are the biggest customer of proof-of-human solutions
