Elon Musk puts his money where his mouth is. He not only supports someone for president who attempted to seize power; he’s not only donated $75 million+ to support Trump; he’s also tricked people into campaigning for Trump, transports them around in a U-Haul, and fired them.
NEW: Black canvassers Elon Musk’s America PAC were tricked, threatened, and driven in seatless U-Haul vans. They were then fired after WIRED reported on their plight—without full pay or a way back home. scoop from @JakeLahut: .

Trump said Cheney should be put before a military tribunal, and yet a bunch of people want to sit here and parse out if he “merely” fantasized about Cheney facing off with 9 rifles pointing at her, as if that matters. What’s wrong with all of you?
This exactly. If you want to argue that he didn’t say throw her in front of firing squad, but instead drop her in front of a squad firing, go right ahead. But it’s not the defense you think it is.

There’s bad takes, and then there’s this. Someone will have to invent a new word to represent the depths of shit this take plumbed.
To focus on Elon Musk's politics is to exhibit a ridiculous monomania that, among other things, badly misunderstands the wages of genius. Musk is a weirdo, yes. Most visionaries are. It's the least important thing about them.

I know this isn’t actually important because Charles Cooke told me so. Anyone concerned about Musk’s descent into madness, and coordination with Vladimir Putin, is exhibiting ridiculous monomania.
"Putin asked Elon Musk to avoid activating his Starlink satellite internet service over Taiwan as a favor to Xi Jinping" is a real sentence in the WSJ story that just dropped. Rather concerning! .

If only the president who systematically convinced his supporters that the election he lost was fraudulent so he could seize power and end our republic, would admit what he did, then he would be winning this election. - Guy Benson.
He lost & the disgraceful Capitol riot was overwhelmingly comprised of his hardest-core supporters, to whom he’d peddled lies for weeks. He’d likely be (relatively) comfortably ahead right now if he’d accepted that reality.

*the night of the election, the president says he has won, and the election is being stolen. then organizes the GOP into manufacturing lies about made up irregularities so people believe it was stolen*. this person: it’s the Democrats’ fault this happened.
I remain unconvinced cheating happened. But I'm begging partisans to understand that the appearance of it is just as bad, it undermines faith in the entire system. You cannot shame people into having faith again, you must build processes that are credible *and look credible*.
