Check out our new paper showing how unhealthy the vast majority of the largest food companies’ portfolios are. No wonder they lobby so hard against healthy food policies!

Significant & nuanced organization-wide position from @UNICEF on engagements w/ F&B industry. Restates avoidance of all partnerships w/ Code violators and adds ultra-processed food industries. First UN agency, to my knowledge, to articulate so explicitly👏 https://t.co/ssmd67it1Q

“THE JOINT FILING from cereal manufacturers not only scorns the labeling rules, but also argues that sugary cereals pose no health risks and are, in fact, beneficial to society and childhood health.” Sure, @KelloggsUS. No shame at all.

#Kellogg’s blocking front-of-pack labeling efforts in US? No surprise. They have been trying in Mexico too, without success. Their arguments are unbelievable 😅 Fruity Pebbles and Lucky Charms Threaten to Block “Healthy” Food Labeling Guidelines in Court

Research, policy and programming for maternal and child nutrition must be free of conflict of interest. UNICEF is not participating at #22ndIUNS to urge IUNS to stop accepting sponsorship by the food and beverage industry. We cannot have it both ways.
