Kate Maxwell started writing her debut novel on Faber Academy’s Writing a Novel in 2018 and it was shortlisted for the Bridport Prize’s Peggy Chapman-Andrews First Novel Award. Hush was published by Virago in 2022 and Kate is currently working on her second novel.
