To avoid kids growing up to be like this lady, teachers should ask school kids to write . "Americans of Indian Origin are American" . 100 times and get signature from parents as well.
Watching Satya Nadella, a legal Indian immigrant, suck up to Trump is painful. Lesson (yet again)- all India-born tech giants are Americans and would do nothing towards the anti-India stance of the Trump administration and his xenophobic MAGA base.

Unpopular opinion: . If a doctor is above 40 and works >40 hours per week , it's not a hustle, but a self inflicted burnout. They should own the choice. And choices have consequences.
This is really worrying. I hope and pray the medicos will stand up for themselves and choose a healthy work-life balance.

Follow the law of the land - good advice. Be invisible and invertebrate and you will be spared - questionable advice. Racists aren't racist because of what you do, but who you are. No one respects an insect. The Mamdanis of the world get more respect than the Viveks.
he has a point even though we are polar opposites on Tamil/D ideology. - keep it low key.- integrate with hosts .- avoid gigantism .- avoid rage tweet .- avoid abuse host culture .- keep in mind there is host x guest equation . or it will all go downhill very fast.

For a bountiful harvest, both the seed and the soil matter. Fertile soil is rarer than quality seeds though. 🇮🇳🇺🇲.
Indian community in America: has highest median income $145000; most degree holders, 75%; owns 60% of all hotels; makes up 12% of Fortune 500 CEOs; 11% of all doctors; holds 10% of US Patents since 1975; founded 72 unicorns. America is successful because its Indian community is.

A new proposal from @CMSgov under @DrOz wants to add catheters, ostomy & trach supplies to Medicare’s competitive bidding program. This is a bad idea and will worsen outcomes for seniors & Medicare recipients. My latest in @MedPageToday explains why ⬇️

Limiting urological, tracheostomy, and ostomy supply options will do more harm than good

Education has an excellent ROI , since the returns span over 40 years. This is true for STEM in India. Even a 45 year old senior student in some history course can join politics and make some money. The problem arises when one joins a decent course in a fake college ( eg.
Has education (read the cost of college degrees) turned children into financial burden that promises no RoI to parents? . Don't get me wrong here. I don't mean we should not give quality education to our kids. But I am questioning the veracity of the promises that a college.

Just today I met a patient from Varanasi. The man himself works in the medical field in an MNC making complex diagnostic systems. After that the discussion gently segued into my academic origins. I was surprised that he had been to Jipmer, in the good old days. He said, ".
Our university @kgmu_medical under guidance of Hon’ble Chancellor @anandibenpatel Ma’am & visionary leadership of PadmaShri Prof. Soniya Nityanand Ma’am had again entered in Top 10medical institutions category in #NIRF2025 rankingsby @EduMinOfIndia . @brajeshpathakup @UP_Swasth

The replies to this tweet tell me why defensive driving is so rare. Common sense isn't common after all.
If you have an allergy, make sure that's the first thing you tell any doctor you meet, in any hospital, anywhere. Just like how you say "Hello" when you pick up a phone. Make it a reflex. It may save your life someday.

As an endocrinologist, this is the first time I have seen obesity being framed as a spiritual problem. I am skeptical, but if it works out for you - cool. You do you.
Obesity isn't a psychological problem…. It's a spiritual one. And God can heal the root causes so food no longer controls your life. Here’s exactly how to do it (based on the bible):

More than percentage it's about critical mass. India is a negotiation in motion. Since the state is all powerful, it has no incentive to negotiate with any group without nuisance value. To force the state to the negotiation table, the group should have enough members who don't.
Total Maratha population in Maharashtra - 3 crores. Total Marathas on the ground with Jarange Patil ~ Approx 1 lakh. Ratio = 0.0033. 0.0033 is the number of people you need to create a change for your community. 0.0033

One of the biggest misconceptions is you have to be diabetic /prediabetic / overweight to avoid sugar in coffee. Until you try coffee without sugar or even milk, you won't know whether you like. 1. Coffee.2. Coffee+milk- sugar.3. Coffee+milk+ sugar. I recently had Turkish coffee.

@libconservative I got to know that a 0 marks in CAT exam can earn you 10-15 percentile. That means if about 3 lakh people appear for CAT and you don't mark any answer, then you are still above 30-45000 students who appeared for exam. I would call it winning over those 30-45000 with doing nothing.
