True. A lot of construction going on without approvals. ALL existing tall structures in Kathmandu (10+ stories) were designed prior to earthquake of 2015. After 2015, with new & stricter codes, only 1 high rise apartment has received ALL permissions from KVDA, DUDBC & Nagarpalika

On this day in 2019, I summited Everest. It took me 37 days (time taken from Kathmandu to begin the trek & then the climb). In between, I returned to Kathmandu for 9 days to fix my summit boots, thereby, from Kathmandu to the summit of Everest it took me 28 days. Enjoy the video.

That’s why I’ve been advocating that ALL media & climbing community needs to state whether a climber is a “Client” or a “Guide”. A Client climbs a mountain once with the help of Guides, while a Guide technically climbs TWICE: 1 him/herself & 1 for the client who’s being pulled up

Your questions should be why Dalits, Janjatis, Madhesis are way below on the representation scale? 30% Janjati population & only 2% representation (.07 times)? 14% Dalit & only 1% representation (.07 times) =Too damn low 👎🏼

121 dialects in Nepal; only Nepali is deemed official (language for Lok Sewa, now in English as well). It’s an unfair advantage to Brahmins & others whose 1st language is Nepali Do what India did & make English the official language. Overnight, demographics in civil jobs changes

Also, @qatarairways @MAS & @flydubai-Your flight attendants need courses in patience & respecting passengers. Many a times, I’ve seen them throw food/being rude to Nepali migrant workers on flights to/from Kathmandu. They’re boarding planes for the 1st time ever, be nice to them!
