­Seniors care that is digitally-enabled to get specialized care as close to home as possible and helps to minimize hospitalization. Care for children that combines physical and mental health care needs, with world-leading expertise offered in our backyard. 12/15

Cancer screening that is delivered through partnerships with community and neighbourhood groups, and specifically addresses areas where fewer people are accessing this type of prevention. 11/15

We are determined to create a health care system that will care for all with compassion, excellence, and courage. 10/15

THP will serve as a specialized hub in a connected system of care that leaves no one behind, including under-served and equity-deserving members of the community. 9/15

Your needs will double in the next two decades as we welcome more people into the community. The care we deliver and design for expansion is being developed holistically to meet your needs — body, mind, and spirit. 8/15

Half of you are new Canadians: 8,000 of you will have a new baby this year; a growing proportion of you are aging; and every family will rely on our expert care at some point throughout the year. 7/15

These milestones represent a new kind of health care created entirely around our community's needs — both now and in the future. 6/15

We began early preparation for construction of the future home of The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital, a new 22-storey and 2.8 million-square-foot hospital, and we announced the Shah Family Hospital for Women and Children. 5/15

We made tremendous progress on our Trillium HealthWorks plan by breaking ground on the future home of The Gilgan Family Queensway Health Centre a modern nine-storey facility that will be 600,000 square-feet and purpose-built for rehabilitation and complex continuing care. 4/15

We added artificial intelligence to help improve quality and support our health care providers. We created more partnerships than ever before to support care being delivered closer to home. 3/15

We introduced new services that only a specialized hospital can deliver, including some of the world’s most highly-specialized services in cardiac, stroke, and women’s and children’s care. 2/15

🧵This year marked major milestones for Trillium Health Partners (THP) as we continue to build the future of health care. This past year, we achieved the highest standing of quality care accreditation by the national accreditor of hospitals, Accreditation Canada. 1/15

This is just the beginning of what’s to come as we reimagine and co-design the future of care - and build a new kind of health care for a healthier community.

And it could not be done without our patients, the community, the THP team and partners like @ONgov, @InfraOntario, @mcfirstnation, the Gilgan Family and @ellisdon.

This new 600,000 square foot building will open up access to specialized services, expand much needed capacity & improve the overall health of our community.

This small gesture of shifting soil, marks something so much greater. It sets into motion what the future will look like for rehabilitative & complex care in our community for generations to come.
