How do the super rich get away with not taking salaries (Zuckerberg made $1 in 2024) and not selling stock to support their spending? They borrow huge sums of cash at 0% interest rates. Fascinating story of how the rich manage their money with @raymadoff. Full convo:

A remarkable thing has happened over the past 40 years, says @raymadoff The wealthy have moved into a tax-free version of American life. They've seceded from supporting the cost of government. And the consequences are enormous. Full convo here: https://t.co/4gJevDwZu9

I enjoyed a lively conversation with amazing Kara Miller(@karamiller) on the great new show It Turns Out (@ItTurnsOutPod )
I loved - and hated - this conversation w/ the fantastic @raymadoff @BCLAW about how the very rich have "seceded" from taxation. How do surgeons pay 40-50% of their money in taxes but the wealthiest pay, essentially, no taxes. And where is this taking us? Watch the full convo

It's time to remove laptops from classrooms. 24 experiments: Students learn more and get better grades after taking notes by hand than typing. It's not just because they're less distracted—writing enables deeper processing and more images. The pen is mightier than the keyboard.

Why do both wealthy liberals & conservatives tend to embrace marriage, even if they agree on little else? @kearney_melissa @NotreDame talks about how marriage became a luxury good on the very 1st episode of "It Turns Out" (a show about research that changes the way you think).
