as interview season approaches, this is a reminder for applicants that no matter what the floor schedule is or how many world-class lecturers they fly in for grand rounds, etc — I cannot understate the value of good people (both co-residents AND faculty).

definitely challenging, but a great learning experience where I got to spend a lot of time at the bedside ❤️ which reminded me that being a doctor is truly the best job in the entire world.

As a doctor in training, I’ve found that there are few things that compare to receiving a page/phone call in the middle of the night that a very sick patient you are caring for got an organ. Getting to share that moment with them/their family is life changing every single time.
