it isn't gif support, it uses sprite sheets instead.
you can convert gif to sprite sheet here:
make sure you set the alignment to "stack horizontally"

the mic is determined by whatever your computer's default mic is. I can't change this because godot smells! however its pretty easy to set the default to whatever you need and then set any microphone you want inside OBS
