It was also nice to see so many people staying for the Hackathon yesterday. It was really fun switching around and discussing the different projects we prepared and seeing cool things emerging everywhere. I think that was my personal highlight.

Regarding @fslaborg, I think the general way we want to go forward with it was received well. If you want to stay part of the discussion, I'd love to see you around either on the discussion board ( or on discord if that is your thing.

Talks: I think we had a nice mix ranging from F# being used for data science in academia and business, as well as meta perspectives on the field itself. I obviously cannot speak for my talk, but all the other speakers had a very good sense of the depth to present their topics in.

there was also no gatekeeping to speak of. Everybody was really open, be it community veterans or newbies like me. The F# community is not pretending to be nice and inclusive online. It REALLY just is that nice.

first of all, i was really impressed by the overall positivity of everybody. For context, academic conferences in my opinion sometimes suffer from covert hostile interactions due to competitiveness. I have not had a single negative interaction and i talked to a LOT of people.
