Portfolios in the field of UX are used as a crutch to evaluate a candidate’s ability to do the work. Hint: aesthetic are only one aspect of UX. That said, they are still often asked for. So I thought I would share a basic quality scale for specifically just UX design portfolios.

Riddle me this, how is it that the country with the most cornavirus deaths, will be the same country that creates the vaccine? This just sums up the American experience.

In the richest country in the world why are public schools rationing printer paper and worrying about if they will have enough pencils!?!?!?

One of the themes coming out of my research with #ux professionals is about burnout, compassion fatigue, and other intersecting factors that make it exhausting to be a #ux researcher. This workshop would be great for anyone finding themselves exhausted working in #ux.
Too often, we don’t realize how much of an impact our practice has on our own well being as research professionals. That’s why @vcastillo630 from @salesforce is running a full day workshop on prioritizing us and taking better care of ourselves.

Designers: Portfolios & NDAs put you in a hard position, but putting a password on your portfolio does not relieve you of NDA requirements. It tells potential clients/employers you will treat future NDAs the same way. Get permission or obscure the details of the work.

So, your company is growing & so is your design team. Congrats! You insist on senior talent & often find them at your competitors. Clever! How long do you factor it will take until that well dries up & you realize you should’ve been growing junior talent this whole time, genius.

I have conducted and attended countless user interviews. At some point, I noticed a thing that goes wrong a lot of times…
