I think you can build almost any product in 12 weeks. But few people have the discipline to actually do it, sadly. Some of the tricks I've learned that drastically speed time to MVP: .

Sharing music with other people who have a different streaming service is a surprisingly annoying thing to do.

This is a shitty experience because it doesn't acknowledge the user's journey and goals at ALL. Think about how your touchpoints and communications unfold over time. Does the narrative feel like something you'd expect in a human conversation, or like this, just cheap mktg?.

Instructure decides, instead, to send you this ridiculous shit. Thanking you for jumping into the marketing funnel they forced on you, and telling you how to manage your subscription preferences. Tone deaf, to say the least.

After submitting that form, what would you expect to see? If you're like a normal human, you'd expect something like "Great! Thanks for your interest. We're excited to chat with you about how we can help! We'll reach out to set up a call". Right?. Wrong.

That's a little weird, because, while yes I'm engaging in a sales thing, I'm not really trying to hop into the marketing funnel. I really just want to talk with someone to understand if this product will work for me. But marketers gonna market, amirite?. Next - the worst part.

Let's talk about some shitty UX, courtesy of @Instructure!. So, Instructure has a leadgen form on their website, so you can schedule a call/demo whatever. Standard stuff. However, at the bottom of that form is this little peculiar checkbox:

"AI won't be able to do that" rhymes a lot with "digital music is too easy to copy, it won't work".

The important phrase here is "platform transition". If you think the web in 5-10 years is going to look like it does today (and by that I mean, using browsers to go to websites/apps as the primary way of using it), I'd rethink that assumption.

The exact quote from Jensen on stage at @microsoft Ignite. "Well, Generative to the AI is the single most significant platform transition in computing history. You and I both have been in the computer industry a long time. In the last 40 years, nothing has been this big. It's.

Y'all wanna know what product/market fit feels like?. This is what it feels like: shutting down signups because it's crushing your servers.

we are pausing new ChatGPT Plus sign-ups for a bit :(. the surge in usage post devday has exceeded our capacity and we want to make sure everyone has a great experience. you can still sign-up to be notified within the app when subs reopen.

If you’re old enough, think back to the late 90s and your 9800 baud modem, maybe 28.8 if you’re lucky. Now think about your lightning fast wifi at home today (wireless too!). We’re at the 9800 baud stage of AI, if we’re even that far. Buckle up.

All this can be imported into eBay, and soon, this GPT will be able to do all of this automatically through the eBay inventory API.

. learn how to get AI to do it for me, that is ;) . So I built an #eBay posting GPT. Here's what it does:. - Identifies the clothes via photos.- Write a description for it, based on eBay best practices.- Researches market comps and generates a price.- Exports all this to a CSV.

I was cleaning out my closet, getting rid of a ton of clothes, and I thought it might make sense to sell some of that stuff, somewhere. I've never done much selling on eBay, Poshmark, etc., so I figured this was a chance to learn.
