This was one of most value-added conferences I’ve attended. 🦻+ 📢 the voices of our frontline heroes and their invisible traumatic injuries through both scientific and caring lenses is so important. #endstigma #wearelistening #PTSI #PTSD @TorontoPolice @THP_hospital

Happy #TelecommunicatorsWeek! It's time to celebrate our dispatchers who handle 1000s of calls daily. It is a demanding role. They are pivotal in assessing the situation and ensuring appropriate help while comforting callers on one of their worst days. Thank you for your service.

Coffee mishaps are brutal, but NOT a 911 emergency! Nor were nearly 125,000 misuse calls & 180,000 hang-ups last year. Our 911 Centre takes a call every 45 seconds. Meanwhile, a person with a real emergency may be waiting on the line and unable to get through. #911AwarenessPeel

One year later - the impacts on our profession and the communities we serve are still there, but the healing slowly continues. This year we will add Andrew’s name to the wall in Ottawa, along with the other heroes we have lost. #heroesinlife @CPPOM @CanadianR2R @TorontoPolice

Today, we remember Constable Andrew Hong. On this day in 2022, while participating in joint motorcycle squad training exercise with @PeelPolice officers, he was senselessly shot and killed. We remember those who gave their lives in service of others. #HeroesinLife
