This is a really exciting proposal. James was behind the buy back of the estate (John Major’s worst mistake was selling it off). This would move forward - transforming the lived experience of forces’ families,.

I’ve just launched our new Defence Policy – Homes for Heroes. The next @Conservatives government would create an Armed Forces Housing Association, to deliver a radical rebuild & regeneration of the defence estate. Why’s this important? A thread 🧵

This gives a flavour of just why we need that public enquiry with statutory powers to hold officials to account. I well remember these kinds of attitudes when pushing for decent treatment of child abuse victims in court in the 1990s.

@lara_e_brown We went to Shaun Davies in 2024. He pushed us into a school complaint process that’s still ongoing, and still failing after 9 months. In that time, my daughter, a CSE survivor, was retraumatised by a CSE lead and denied safeguarding and education. My son was physically and.

Interesting that @nfergus is promoting the Argentine solution. He is right - up to a point - but does anyone believe Javier Milei could have achieved these things if he had been subject to the ECHR?.

That scraping sound you hear is @RachelReevesMP moving the deckchairs around on the Titanic. What’s that big white thing we’re sailing towards? The answer is an unsustainably high national debt. 1/13.

A national inquiry is essential and the only thing that matters is what is right for the victims. They deserve justice. If you don’t want to feed the far right, address the issue directly and with integrity. Millions of Britons want answers, they don’t want whataboutery.

Brave piece by @matthewsyed showing how those who created - and continue to create - the climate covering up the horrors of mass child rape in many of our towns by Pakistani gangs are on a moral level with Tommy Robinson.
