Finally I have understood why I like the New York subway: you don't have to descend into the depths to get onto it. A long walk from under the streets at, say 42nd street. But you basically can arrive, zip down and be on in minutes. Even the heat - oh boy - I'm still in.

Thank you @Flo_williamson for picking up the issue I raised yesterday having discovered a distressed woman at Archway tube who had recently given birth and needed a lot of support. Leanne's story is chaotic and complex but it's people who help people within "the system".

02/ she says she has no home, no GP, no social worker and nowhere to go with her baby - and fled in tears because everyone else had visitors and baby clothes. Gave her my number and will go in morning but @WhitHealth please keep me posted - she promised to return.

OK @jeremycorbyn @UnaOHalloran please help this agitated new mother, Leanne, homeless, who I just talked to outside Archway tube. She had an emergency C-section Whittington Hospital 3 days ago after walking in to A&E and gave birth to Joshua who is in intensive care. 01 .
