RIP to the great David Bordwell. A truly wonderful film scholar - one of the very best of all time. The most worthwhile blogger ever - for @ObserOnFilmArt. And a lovely man. Deepest condolences to Kristin Thompson and his family.
RIP the incredible David Bordwell. He was a mentor to me long before I got to meet him, and he was a mentor to me formally for a long time after, offering notes on things I was writing, sharing my work, and giving me counsel on all matters. A great mind, a great man.
