1. Here's the email I wrote to the creature dev team as we were wrapping Ep3. Sent April 1st 2005: Ah what a perfect day for a fool's joke.. :). Well, the creature work is (almost!) wrapped up on Ep3. Thank you all for your better-than-best work and making it so much fun.

Ha muerto Renato Casaro a los 89 años. Puede que no lo reconozcáis por el nombre, pero seguro que lo reconoceréis por su arte y sus icónicos posters ochenteros. Descanse en paz este artista increíble.

One of the all-time great poster artists has passed, Renato Casaro. One of the small handful of geniuses whose art defined generations.

@AwesomeBooksUK @tadwilliams @MrsTad Reading To Green Angel Tower in my bedroom in 1993 I was listening to the Sinfonye album "Bella Domna", medieval songs from the 12th/13th C. and it felt like the soundtrack of the world of Osten Ard but it even felt that the people in the book's voices were lifting off the page..

@AwesomeBooksUK @tadwilliams @MrsTad I love the return of Camaris as a thread in these books. Something about a legend believed lost that returns both as great as you wished but also different; sadder, more complicated, scratches a powerful itch for me. Thank you @tad

@AwesomeBooksUK @tadwilliams @MrsTad Almost done with To Green Angel Tower Book 1. I forgot that the Battle on the Ice was in this book, & remembered how I had always skipped the cutaways to Maegwin & the marsh adventures with Tiamak. Which makes them like discovering hidden rooms in a house you know from childhood

Here's one for cat lovers! City Cat is a work-in-progress Commodore 64 game that looks stunning. In the early demo, you explore as a cat. Interactions and music are yet to be added, but it looks awesome. I look forward to the full game. Download the WIP below.

So glad to see people aren't trying to profit off of a young person's horrific murder for their own twisted purposes and avoiding further sowing division with a call to unite and find common ground

I'm so glad the world is so much safer now than it was before. So. Much. Safer.

@AwesomeBooksUK @tadwilliams @MrsTad I still find incredible, from The Dragonbone Chair to Brothers of The Wind, how *complete* the world building & backstory of everyone is. Stuff that I thought were late-in-the-day details in later books are there on the *first pages*. I wish I could dig into Tad's mind on this.

Simon feels, perhaps appropriately, like half awkward kid half man, but also has tremendous plot armour, a lot of ppl telling him how special and unique he is, something that I craved when I read this as a teenager, but also feels a little contrived.

So I plunged quickly after that into Stone of Farewell and oh boy did I chew through that one quickly. I had forgotten what happens in it but it definitely has "middle book energy", deepening the world but also working hard to keep two ends of the story away from each other..

Ok so I finished Brothers Of The Wind a while back, took me longer than you'd think to finish that slender tome. It didn't grab me in quite the same way as the longer novels but it made Hakatri in particular a living breathing person I could relate to.
